How To Make A Button
Please follow the steps carefully so that you can come up with a similar looking button, with a different picture of course!
What Is A Button?
A button is a small graphic, normally used for linking affiliates between sites. It can also be used to show support for something, or basically anything. But the most widely accepted use of buttons are for affiliation, and trust me if you plan to make a site you will need nice affiliate buttons!
What Size Is A Button?
Most Common Size- 100x35px
Other Sizes- 88x31px
How To Use This Tutorial
Please follow all steps carefully to reach desired end product. Click on the numbers to view the examples. Please also check for links within the tutorials, in case I made two images that relate to that one step. This is a tutorial on how to make a 100x35 button. You can repeat the steps with a different size but I suggest making a 100x35 one for now.
Making The Button
1. Make a new canvas of size 100x35 pixels. Take an image you want and paste it onto this canvas. Move it around until you like where it is at.

2. Make a new layer on top of the picture. Then go to Layer > Merge Visible.

3. Now go to Layer > Layer Style > Stroke. You will need to set the size to 2, the position to inside, and the color to white.

4. You should be at this point now, with a white border around your button. If not, please re-read steps 1-3.

5. Now you are going to repeat step 2. Make a new layer on top of your current image and Merge Visible again.

6. Next you are going to go to Layer > Layer Style > Stroke. Set the size to 1, set the position to inside, and set the color to black.

7. You should be at this point now, with a white border around the button and a thin black border around the white border. If you are not please repeat all steps until you have this.
Adding The Text
1. Zoom in on your button by either scrolling on your mouse or going to the image preview box and pushing the little meter up. Zoom to about 500%.

2. Select a pixel font to use on the button. I have chosen 04b_03b. Now put whatever text you want on the button, keep it small and uppercase! Make sure it is close to the edge of the white button but not touching. Any of the four edges will do.

3. Now go to Layer > Layer Style > Stroke. Set the size to 1 and the color to black.
End Product

Here is the button I came up with. Yours should look similar in the border and text. If it is not, please email or IM me and I'll be happy to try and help you.
